World Athletics Center
The World Athletics Centers Mission Statement gives a preview of what they are all about.
"At the World Athletics Center, we recognize the importance of providing our athletes with a fully comprehensive support service designed to complement every aspect of their training and lifestyle."
Located in Phoenix, Arizona
The World Athletics Center is in the process of building a brand new facility in order to fulfill every need for every type of track and field athlete. As for now they are doing strength and conditioning at Athletes Performance and renting tracks off of surrounding tracks.
"The World Athletics Center was founded in 2008 to build a training home for Olympians and has grown to serve track and field athletes and coaches of all levels.
Our Olympic level coaches share their knowledge across all athlete and coach generations with a goal of being the one, stabile environment you can trust to be there for the long haul. The World Athletics Center is so much more than we ever imagined and yet is only a small portion of what it is growing to be. With athlete clinics and camps from youth to masters, worldwide services and coaches education systems, the World Athletics Center assists more track and field athletes and coaches than any other company in the world.
High school development The World Athletics Center is not just for Olympians… we are here for all stages of your development.
We offer on-site training at our flagship facility in North Phoenix for all events in track and field, and our facility in Chandler, Arizona offers strength, power and speed development. Satellite facilities in San Ramon and Sacramento, California specialize in the throwing events.
Our coaches’ education, camp and clinic schedule is fully developed in the throwing events. We will begin a staged release this Fall. Please subscribe to our twitter, Facebook and RSS news feeds to keep up to date on all things World Athletics Center!
Athletes The World Athletics Center is a base for elite athletes including Aries Merritt (USA), Steve Hooker (Aus), Brad Walker (USA), Steve Lewis (GB), Yanbo Yang (Chi), Vikas Gowda (Ind), Frankie Wright (USA) and Donald Thomas (Bah)."
